What in your mind is the best anime of whole time and why? Did you like the plot or art or something else? I would like to hear your opinions. I think that best anime is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, because it was funny, entertaining and also with some serious theme in it. Most animes nowadays is either pure romance or pure fighting, but FMA has a bit from everything. Every episode I laughed at Ed's reactions to being called short, cried when main character's died and best of all, I never knew how things would turn out. Plot was really hard to predict. Actually even when I watched it for 2nd time after a while, I still had hard time predicting the plot (and my memory isn't exactly bad). This is surely is the kind of anime I would give 10/10.

Steins;Gate would make my top list. Best plot I've seen for not just anime, but for just about everything else as well. Unlike most anime, its violence is reduced to minimal, but don't let that catch wind of a wrong idea. Steins;Gate is about a group of teenagers creating a time machine, who actually do use time-space theories that were mentioned by real scientists (Steins;Gate was made with keeping reality in mind). Eventually, something goes wrong, and one of the lab members ends up traveling through time again and again to fix the timeline, that not only will save the team's skins, but lead humanity onto the correct path. After every episode, you are left with slight clues for you to think of how this happened, or what exactly is going on and such. For instance, on the first episode, one of the main characters dies at the beginning, and end up alive at the end. This actually did catch me off-guard, and I was left to ponder what on earth went on. Also, the characters are all booming with personality, you'll eventually learn to love them all. Steins;Gate isn't all serious though; there are numerous comedy bits throughout the whole anime, and sooner or later, even a little bit of romance will be involved. Steins;Gate truly is a genuine anime. While you may be turned off by how slow it progresses in the beginning, don't let that keep you from watching even further. If you're interested in watching a plot that will keep you on your seats, pick up Steins;Gate.

I have to go with Code Geass, but I like Persona as well.
