Levels
Since Antiva Chronus Online is more based on adventure and not the gameplay itself, then levels here are set by players themselves depending on the chapter they are on. In each chapter description average level of players is mentioned. It doesn't mean that your character has to be exactly at that level, it can be lower or higher, however remember that it can't be too high. All players started the game at the same time, so it would be weird if all players are around level 26, but one is level 40. That's why please keep your levels reasonable so we all can have clean and fun game.
There are 7 main ranks that determinate character, item, monster and skill strength depending on their level. Level 200 is the highest level in the game.
In Antiva Chronus Online monsters can be divided into 5 main types: Regular, Field Boss, Proto Boss, Major Boss and Event Boss. In each chapter description all possible monsters that can be battled during that chapter are written along with their abilities, levels and possible drop items.
Regular monsters are monsters that are most commonly found. They are all those monsters, players usually use to increase their levels. These monsters have simple and predictable battle pattern and they rarely drop valuable items. Most commonly they drop potions, items for cooking, crafting, etc.
Field bosses are bigger and stronger versions of regular monsters. Usually there is one field boss in one zone with same type of regular monsters. Field bosses can drop rare items, sometimes even Evolving Accessory items. Materials from field bosses are often used to make handmade weapons.
Proto bosses are monsters that can be found in area before the major boss. They are stronger than regular monsters, however not as strong as field bosses. Purpose of these monsters is to give as much experience as possible to players, before facing major boss. They may drop some crystals, potions or boost items.
Major bosses are the strongest type of monsters in the game. Each major boss has its own unique battling pattern, strongest bosses can even analyze player's moves to create most effective counterattack. These monsters are unpredictable, they may change weapons, have unusual abilities and really high stats. Major bosses drop best forging materials and powerful Evolving items. Unlike all other monster types, once Major Boss has been killed by player once, it cannot battle same player again.
Event bosses appear only during special events for a limited time. These bosses cannot actually kill players, instead of death player will be teleported to closest city with 1 HP and their level will decrease by 1. Main purpose of event bosses is to obtain experience and rare items.
All these monster types can be found in all ACO worlds, however monster level in these worlds and territories vary.
Terra Lvl 1 - 50. Weakest monsters can be found around Novus City, but strongest swarm around passageways to others worlds, that is, in Dry Mountain, in Death Sea and in Icy Mountain range. Also monsters in south have higher level than monsters in the north.
